Woodtarget with a neutral CO2 footprint for the fourth consecutive year

A Woodtarget continua fiel ao seu objetivo de manter neutralidade em emissões de CO2. Pelo quarto ano consecutivo, a Woodtarget conseguiu atingir níveis de emissão de carbono reduzidos face ao ano anterior. Temos consciência que as atividades diárias da nossa empresa (transporte, energia, papel, etc) têm um impacto direto no nosso planeta. Em 2022, como assim tem sido desde 2018, a Woodtarget optou por compensar em Julho de 2022 as tonaladas de CO2 produzidas resultantes da nossa atividade profissioinal, dando o nosso apoio a um projeto de reflorestação, para que assim, seja possível obter um balanço neutro e uma Pegada de Carbono Zero.

Woodtarget completed the process that allowed it to achieve CO2 neutrality in conjunction with the organization Carbonfootprint, which is working on a reforestation project in the Amazon rainforest in Peru. The Huallaga River Amazon Basin region has been an area immensely affected by deforestation, with a large part of its forest being destroyed solely for its natural resources (in this case, timber). Urku’s Amazon Studies reforestation project aims to support the recovery of the Amazon rainforest through reforestation in partnership with local indigenous cooperatives. The project aims to reforest with dry forest plants, with a focus on the Maya Nut tree.
